Mauve & White Transferware
Welcome!
Today is just a quick post on some
of my pretty mauve and white dishes.
The beautiful teapot above is another one
of my treasures from our trip to Kennebunkport,
Maine last month.
I already had a few matching and
coordinating dishes and fabrics.
The white hyacinths have lasted well
and have such a lovely fragrance.
The teapot is a large size and pretty shape~
but no markings on the bottom.

If you would like to see more pretty mauve
and white please click here or here
I have a friend coming shortly for a visit and we are going for
a skate on the pond before having soup, scones and of course
a cup of hot tea or cocoa....so I better rush and get my scones in!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Country Rose Afternoon Tea
It seems no matter what the season I take
pleasure in taking a little break with a good
cup of tea but there does seem to be more
time to enjoy these tea times in winter by the
fire than in the summer when there are so many
things to do in the garden etc.
I have the table set for us by the fireside and the
sun is streaming in.
The china teapot and matching tea cups are
called Country Rose by Skye Mc Ghie.
They go nicely with the apricot roses.
Help yourself to a cupcake.
Although I love my roses from the garden better
I am happy to have these roses to enjoy while
we wait for the garden roses to bloom.
Lovely apricot roses.

some time soon to go through my favorite garden rose
photos and I can share them with you as well.
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for
Tablescape Thursday today.
Thank you for joining me for tea!

The Beauty of the Rose
I hope your week is going well.
beautiful bouquet of apricot roses ~
such a pretty bouquet just called out to
be photographed.
Maybe, if he had known how much
time I would spend playing with them
he would have left them in the store!
A postcard for you.
This yardsale teacup has been photographed
several times since I bought it.
Still having fun.......

I have to say I do love the beauty of a rose and
a dozen is well....... just a dozen times better!
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

A Winter's Day Tea
It was a beautiful sunny winter day here
today, after a wet and warm spring like
day yesterday.
On these winter days an afternoon tea
is a pleasant break in the day.
Today's tea cups are called "Phoebe" by
Wedgewood and Co.. They are Royal Semi Porcelain.
Once again I am using a mix and match
set of china. I don't see this teal green
transferware very often around here.
I have a few amaryllis blooming now and
I love their colorful blooms.
The plates are for our sticky date
pudding which I enjoy occasionally
over the winter.
Hope you enjoy an afternoon tea time too!

and the rain froze into a nice smooth ice so I am hoping to get in
some skating this week with some of our grandchildren.I love a winter
skating party!
I am joining Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Tea with Friends
and Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday.
Thank you for visiting,

Soft & Romantic
Welcome!
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
We had some fun family events including
a lovely birthday lunch for my sister in law
followed by a horse and sleigh ride .
However, I did take time out to do
a few soft and romantic photo shoots.
I love the soft peach/pink vintage
bed jacket with the delicate pleated
vintage slip which is also vintage.
Roses and lace are two of my
favorite things.
Vintage perfume bottles.
So delicate and romantic.
I am enjoying the quieter winter days when
I have a little more time to play with my camera.
I am joining Lavender Cottage for Mosaic Monday.
Thank you for visiting!
Carolyn
