Delicate Pink Tea

                                                                   Hello everyone,
                                  I hope you all had a lovely weekend.and are looking forward to the
                                  week ahead. Today, I am serving tea with a delicate pink theme.
                                  The pretty Shelley tea cup is a gift in memory of a favorite aunt.

              The sun is shining here today so I am hoping to do some indoor photography......after
                        I tidy up the house and do some laundry of course!

Soft & Sweet

                                                                         Hello everyone,
                                      On this sunny but crisp winter day I have been enjoying playing
                                     with my camera and my dishes again. I know I am getting a little
                                     boring here lately but I am still working on  my Tea Time book
                                     so tea things have been my focus.

                                                        One of my favorite teapots.

                                        Pretty teacups are always one of my favorite things but my tea cup
                                       cupboard is getting pretty full so I might have to start downsizing it.

                                    I love the tea cup holder as it is a nice way to display some of
                                    my favorites.

                                           The Shelley tea cup was a lovely gift from a friend ~ I love the unique
                                           shape.

                                        This teapot was a birthday gift from my husband a few years ago ~
                                        love that he knows my taste so well!

Dreamy Whites

                                                                        Hello everyone,
                                   I hope your week is going well. I know that some of you have been
                                   by another snow storm and we are getting some snow now as well.
                                   And indoors, it is white today also as I am sharing a white teatime.

                                      The teapot and the cup and saucer both came from Winner's.

                                    I made the little heart last year using a pretty lace doily.

                               This very old lace curtain was one of my very first thrift shop finds.

                                    I have 2 of these beautiful ameryllis and I have enjoyed them so much.

                         Lila is our youngest granddaughter and she turned five years old
                                    today. We enjoyed having family for supper and sharing Lila's
                                    birthday cake with her ~ Happy Birthday, Lila!

Soft & Romantic

                                                                        Hello everyone,
                                    Since Valentine's Day is coming up soon so I am going with a soft
                                   and romantic look. Small perfume bottles are yet another item I
                                   can't resist at thrift shops etc.~they add a romantic touch to a
                                  dresser or vanity.

                                  I went through some of my photos from a few years ago and found
                                  some of these so if you have been visiting me for awhile I hope you
                                  don't mind some repeats.

                                  This soft peach teacup is one of my favorites.

                                     My Dad gave me this pitcher and basin many years ago. It is
                                      the wheat pattern.

                                        Lace and roses are some of my favorite things.

                                                      An ironstone vase with creamy roses.

            I have lots more soft and romantic shots with a Valentine's Day theme to come so I

Romantic Fireside Tea

                                                                     Hello everyone,
                              I hope you are all enjoying this first weekend in February~ the month of
                              romance!
                                   I welcomed in the month by enjoying some time curled up by our wood
                             burning fireplace with a good book and a cup of hot tea.We don't use this
                             fireplace often as our propane fireplace gives more heat for less work but
                             there is nothing quite as cozy to me as the crackle of a wood fire so once
                             in awhile we enjoy it.

                           
                                     
                         

                              Since a wood fireplace always reminds me of the scenes in Rosamunde
                               Pilcher's book Winter Solstice I decided to use my English teapot and
                               chintz teacup.

                  What about you .....do you enjoy curling up with a book and tea by the fireside? I
                    do have an extra chair and book for you. I am pretty sure I can find a tea cup for you!

           I found another chintz teacup for you and some sheep cookies to go with our English tea.

             I hope you are relaxing on this lovely Sunday afternoon ~ so nice to treat yourself! You
                       deserve it after all!!!
