Tea Cake and Roses

                                                                  Hello everyone,
Today,I was working on an outdoor photo shoot as it was still mild but
when I came in I enjoyed a nice cup of hot tea.
A slice of cake went well with it and the pretty chintz tea pot.
                                                        Tea,cake and roses.

Help yourself ~ it is a bakery cake this time.

                                                     Lovely peachy pink roses.
We just got home from the rink where our little seven year old grandson
was playing hockey. It is amazing to see these little ones play ~ I think
they could already skate circles around me and I know for sure they
bounce back up faster then I would! All that cheering in a cold rink
though means it is time for another cup of hot tea. I wonder if there
is any of that cake left?
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday today
and Friends Sharing Tea at Bernideen's Tea Time Blog.

                                                                     Thank you for visiting,

Spring Blooms

                                                                Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Here we are getting some
fresh white snow after a week of spring melting. I am happy to
see gently falling snowflakes outside but indoors to be able to
                                   enjoy some spring blooms.
A hyacinth will soon be blooming in my pretty
                                              transferware teacup.
I have taken my some of my geraniums up from
the basement and cut them back but hoping for
blooms on some of them soon.
In the winter I like to have some small bouquets in pretty vases.

Even the asparagus ferns add color.
A tiny campanula for spring color.

                                                             Roses always bring me pleasure.
And I am delighted to have Vanco tulips grown right here on
                                      P.E.I.in the grocery stores again.
Tulips and a Lady's Slipper teacup ~ perfect!

Brenda from Cozy Little House has a new blog called Color my Decor and
I am honored to have  my blog featured on it .....pop in here and check it out!

After a Winter Skate

                                                                    Hello everyone,
Even though our weather has been very spring like the past few days
and we lost a lot of snow(don't worry still lots left) I am looking
forward to a skating party, and our pond is looking good for it as
soon as the temperatures drop again.
So with that in mind I have been enjoying hot cocoa for my afternoon
break ~ a favorite after skating treat.
Ginger cookies go nicely with hot cocoa.
Love my new mugs from the thrift store.

I am getting my skates polished up so I will be ready for the ice.
A few shots from a winter skating party last year.
What about you ~ do you enjoy ice skating in the winter?

I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time
and Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Friends Sharing Tea.

                                                                Enjoy your week!

Shades of White

                                                                       Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a good weekend. It was very spring like
here and we lost a lot of snow and ice.
Sunday afternoon my grand niece Hailey and her Grandmother
came for lunch and a visit. So I dug out my favorite winter
costume and took some shots of my little model.
I heard the owl call my name ~ in Sears at 70% off.
                                                                    So sweet!

                                                        on a different note.......pretty china.
lovely vintage linens from the thrift shop.
                                                                    cream
                                                                soft & sweet

On a different note again I am excited to be part of a garden tour with  Allan
Armitage and aprox.25 other gardeners  from Georgia. Allan Armitage is a well
known  horticulturist and author and is a frequent contributor to Fine Gardening
magazine where I have always enjoyed his articles. If you are a gardener from
Georgia it may not be too late to sign up to visit P.E.I gardens the end of July!
If it wasn't for the fact that our garden is buried under the snow, I would be
donning my tilley hat and heading out to the garden now!!!

                                                       Thank you for visiting,

                                                                Carolyn
