Romantic Whites

                                                                             Hope your week is going well.
                                                                           We are expecting a couple more
                                                                          snow storms to hit the Island this
                                                                          week......Spring,where are you?
                                                                         So, in the midst of all this white
                                                                        I have some soft romantic whites to share.

                                                                      Pretty cupcakes,roses and china.

                                   I do love soft romantic whites but I have my fill
                                              of the white stuff outdoors for this year.

A Chair Makeover

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend. We had

another blizzard here and the roads are still

not open for travel. This has been quite the

winter and doesn't seem like it is leaving any

time soon.

Anyway, it may be snowy outside but it a good

time to get some projects done indoors.

                                               So, these chairs that I bought last year got a
                                               little makeover. They had a dark stain on them
                                               which was fine but didn't work in our space as
                                               well as a less formal look so I painted them a creamy
                                               white. The porch is also getting a makeover as my
                                               husband and son put wainscotting on the bottom and
                                               our painter gave it a couple of coats of white and the walls
                                              revere pewter which was a few shades lighter then the original.
                                             

                                                            I am still working on decorating the porch
                                                            but I love that sunshine streaming in!

                                                         A pretty rose from a miniature rosebush
                                                         on the windowsill.

                                                             This is the chair before.

                                       Well since we are snowed in I might as well
                                                  go and do another spring project so we will
                                                  be all fresh and pretty when spring arrives.

Shades of Aqua

                                                                  Hello everyone,

                                                   I hope your week is going well and I am sure you
                                                   are looking forward to the weekend.

                                                     I haven't had time lately to do any new photo shoots
                                                    so I am probably getting a bit boring here as I am sharing
                                                    some photos again that I took previously.
                                               
                                                    The obelisk above was brown but I painted it turquoise/aqua
                                                    blue and it gives the garden a nice pop of color.

                                                         I painted an old picnic basket soft aqua...you
                                                         might have guessed that I love aqua.

                                                             How about this charming turquoise/aqua
                                                             house in the village of Victoria by the Sea.

                                              Lastly, a few more aqua teacups......all these
                                                        summery shots are making look forward to
                                                        the warmer days ahead but for now I am enjoying
                                                        the longer sunny but still winter days we have here.

Pretty Little Things

             Hello everyone,

              We enjoyed a mild day here and it was nice to

             have some melting snow and a feel of spring

in the air.

         Our painter finished up today so tomorrow

    we can put the rooms back together ~ a 

good feeling!

                     So, just a few random pretty

A Little Bit of Dutch Blue

Welcome!

It is Tea Time again and today's tea was

inspired by a lovely calender I received

from my fellow tea friend Bernideen .

                                                         You can see a little bit of Dutch here
                                                         with the Dutch calender in the background.

                                                  I love all the dutch inspired photos on
                                                 the calender and it brings back memories
                                                 of my sweet Dutch Mama. Thank you
                                                 Bernideen......I will treasure it!
                                                 

                                                          Sit for awhile and enjoy a cup of tea
                                                         as the sunroom is a lovely spot to be on
                                                         these sunny late winter days.In here you
                                                         can even feel a little spring.
