A Cath Kidston Look in the Porch

                                                                    Hello everyone,
We had a touch of spring here today and thankfully there was a
fair bit of melting going on outdoors.
Indoors, I made a couple of new pillows with my Cath Kidston
fabric from England to give the porch a spring look.
The little tea set looks like Cath Kidston china......but isn't.
I had a plain thermal tea towel so I dressed it up with with some of
the leftover fabric and added the pom pom trim.
Both fabric are Cath Kidston that coordinate well.

                                                       Pink tulips add spring cheer.

Love the polka dots on the tea cup.

A little more spring cheer on the table in the porch.

The ivy in the window will soon grow to cover the
heart shape wire ( made from an old coat hanger).

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

                                                                                                              Carolyn

Milk Glass White Tablescape

                                                                Hello everyone,
I hope all of you that were affected by yesterday's Blizzard are
now plowed out and have had your power restored......it was
more like the old fashioned storms we used to get in winter...
but wait a minute this is spring!
Oh well, it could be worse we could be getting more......
but wait a minute~ did I hear another storm for Sunday?
                                  Do I sound bitter....yep ,I am a bit!
Much as I love the four seasons~ I don't want them all to have
                                  snow!!!
Now, that I have vented let's enjoy the rest of the time
                                    together with tea and scones.

The tea cups are old and have the wheat pattern and the teapot
with the bird on top came from Winner's a few years ago.
The scone recipe came from Pink Piccadilly Pastries blog and if
you have never visited Jina before you are in for a treat ~ she
makes the most beautiful pastries. I could spend all day pinning
from her beautiful pinterst boards as well.....great way to pass
                                 a stormy day!
Beautiful milk glass pieces were loaned to me by my sweet
friend Snow...just for you to enjoy!

Beautiful milk glass vases ~ thank you, Snow.

I took this shot this morning after our generous snowfall. That
pathway was compliments of my hard working husband.
Pretty isn't it??? Perfect for my white theme!

This is what our doorway looked like
after 35cm of snow and howling winds.

A touch of spring on my snowy window!

I jokingly told me hubby that after he got the path shovelled
out we should grab our suitcases and make a run for it!
Florida .....here we come.  Why am I whining ~ I am not
                                  the one out shoveling?
Our veranda this morning. Oh, to be Bella or
Madelief out enjoying spring blooms in their
                                                    lovely gardens already!

Please, pass me another scone....I need a little treat!

Rain for tomorrow though so at least some of this will
melt and with a little luck the forecast for more is snow
is just a cruel joke! Ha! Ha!
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch  for
Tablescape Thursday.

Thank you for visiting me and for all your kind words
      on my last post.

Afternoon Tea

                                                                  Hello everyone,

We are bracing here for a big snow storm with lots of snow
and very high winds.....we are being warned of power outages,
whiteouts etc. and now there is talk of another storm on the
weekend! Phew! is this winter ever going to end???
We are headed south next week for a couple of weeks so
I hope when we get back home spring will have sprung!
Let's have a little tea party to take our mind of it and
                               enjoy a little escape!
The photo above was the runner-up for my new
Afternoon Tea book which I am happy to say is
now being published but more on that later.

So don your prettiest dress.

Grab your handbag and gloves and come on over!
Pick out your favorite tea cup.
                                                          Enjoy a yummy cupcake.

Admire the pretty bouquets of flowers.

                                                     Have a few more nibbles.

And I will pour you some tea.

It may be wintery here still but I have gone full steam
ahead into spring cleaning.......always a good project
                                     to get done.
I am joining Tea with Friends at Bernideen's Tea Time blog
and Tea Time Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage.

Snuggle in nice and cozy and enjoy your day!

                                                                Stay warm and safe.
