Blue & White Toile & Transferware

I was looking through my files today trying to

clean things up a bit as I have way too many

photos saved.

However, I found these photos that I

took awhile ago for my

Afternoon Tea book and

didn't use so I thought

you might enjoy seeing them.

                                                                     As many of you know, I am a bit
                                                                    of a dishaholic.

                                                                  I love transferware in all colors.

                                                             I collect it mainly at thrift shops or yard sales.

                                                                   However, a few pieces were new
                                                                   like the ones above.

                                                                      Toile is another favorite of mine ~
                                                                      whether it is fabric or wallpaper.

                                                             Well, that is a few of my blue and white
                                                                        transferware and toile. Someday, I will
                                                                        show off some of my other collections.

Comfort Food

                                                                     Yesterday, the weather turned cooler
                                                                     here so it was a good day to be indoors
                                                                     doing a little cooking and baking etc.
                                                                        A bowl of homemade vegetable beef
                                                                    soup on a cool autumn day tastes so good.

                                                                     
                                                        I tried a new bread recipe to go with it this time
                                                        ~ whole grain Irish Soda Bread. It was very
                                                       good hot out of the oven.

                                                                  For our tea time treat I made a
                                                                 delicious loaf of Orange Pumpkin
                                                                  Bread. I have to say our kitchen
                                                                 smelled so good!

Brown & White Transferware Tablescape

                                                      Whenever Autumn arrives I love to use
                                                      my brown and white transferware dishes,
                                                     although they are pretty at any time and I do have
                                                     them on display in a cupboard all year.

                                                         a gift from a fellow dish lover.

                                          As always, it is nice to end with a cup of hot

                                                              tea in a pretty tea cup.
